Creating a User

Who is this applicable to?
 Portal Administrator

The Customer Portal allows Portal Administrators to create Portal Admins and Portal Users.

NOTE
Before proceeding to creating a user, make sure that you have the role created for the user.

  1. From the main menu header, navigate to Admin > Users. This opens the Users tab.
  2. Click Add New User at the bottom of the tab. This opens the Create User tab.
  3. To upload the profile photo of the user, click the camera icon on the left and select a picture to upload. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop the picture.
  4. Under Personal Details, enter the following information:
    • Enter the First name of the user, followed by the Last Name.
    • Enter the Email id of the user, and optionally the Phone number.
  5. Under Access Details, enter the following information:
    • Enter the Login Name for the user.
    • From the dropdown list, select the role to be assigned to the user.

Select the appropriate tab based on the role selected.

Under Access to Entities, the entities associated with the Portal Admin are listed. You can also choose to add additional entities. To do so,

  1. Click .
  2. Select the required entities.
  3. Click to add the selected entities.

In case you wish to delete the imported customer, clickon the entity name.

  1. Clear the Sync Customers checkbox.
  2. Click .
  3. Select the required entities.
  4. Click to add the selected entities.

In case you wish to delete the imported customer, clickon the entity name.

  1. With all the details filled in, click
  2. On successful creation of the user, you will receive the following success message:

Upon running the Notification job by the security administrator, the user would receive an email notification notifying them about the profile creation.

NOTE
Only Security Administrator can run the Notification job. If your security administrator has scheduled a recurring Notification job, then the user will immediately receive an email notifying them about the temporary password.
